Hi everyone! As you may remember in 2019 I went into hospital for an operation. Well, I’ve been in hospital for another operation, a reoccurrence of the same longstanding condition that’s been giving me a bit of trouble again. Please don’t worry. This surgery was and planed ages ago, its non urgent, but obviously the pandemic led to it being considerably delayed. As I also have a somewhat weaker lung function as well (you may recall I spent time in hospital a few years ago because of a bad chest infection), I was advised to have a spinal again for my operation as it would be safer for me than a general anaesthetic.
Even though I’ve been through this procedure before it was a still a bit of a scary experience being awake while I was being operated on, but the staff were all really nice and looked after me. It’s been a few days since my operation. I’m now home and recovering well. Obviously I’m under Doctor’s orders to take things easy for a bit. So that’ll mean plenty of binge watching box sets and movies for me while I recover over the holiday season – just what the doctor ordered!

Blimey, my little blog Sci-Fi Jubilee is now 10 years old! My how that time has flown eh? I’ve had a fantastic time writing this blog over the years, writing film, TV and comic book reviews as well as numerous articles. I’m so happy Sci-Fi Jubilee is celebrating its 10th Anniversary, the fact my blog has reached that milestone is all down to you. Sci-Fi Jubilee wouldn’t be anything without any of you. Its been quite a journey and knowing you’ve been here with me all this time means so much to me. So I wanted to take this opportunity to say a big, heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for reading and supporting my blog.
You have given me so much amazing support via your comments on Sci-Fi Jubilee, you’ve nominated my blog for awards, shared my reviews on Twitter, WordPress, Sci-Fi Jubilee’s Facebook page and subscribed to my YouTube Channel as well – something that has also become a key feature on the blog over the years. I really enjoy making gameplay videos, especially Boss Fights, and I’ve even had a go at making short cinematic style gameplay videos too with added music tracks.
I’ve also had a go at sketching again as well and doing some artwork. I’ve always loved to draw but injured my hand many years ago getting a glass out of the dishwasher – the glass shattered as I removed it from the rack and caused a nasty laceration. I never really recovered full use of that hand, so I kind of gave up on art, but recently I thought I’d give it another try.
This is my first real attempt at drawing and art again in years and I’m loving it! I doubt I’ll ever be able to draw like I used to but I’m having great fun sketching again. Thank you so much for all the support and encouragement you’ve given me with this.
Of course, the last couple of years has been unimaginabley difficult for us all in so many ways because of the COVID 19 Pandemic and lockdowns we’ve endured. Sadly, my dear mother passed away during the first lockdown here in the UK. That was a terrible, heartbreaking time for me and my family, and I know many of you experienced the loss of a loved one during those awful times as well. Needless to say it did make me step back a bit and take some time out, reevaluate priorities, and spend time with my family. I kept on blogging though, but with less of a schedule, and more of a relaxed approach which I still intend to maintain going forward from here with the blog.
I really like the interactive aspect of blogging the most. The way we interact and share opinions here on Sci-Fi Jubilee has also spilled over to my Twitter account as well, where I often chat about the reviews I’ve done or the things I’m writing about. I also started doing a Friday Film choice during lockdown on Twitter, and that turned out to be so much fun its something I’ve continued doing as well.
When I started blogging, never in my wildest dreams could I have imagined that Sci-Fi Jubilee would become such a big part of my life as ultimately it has, and I can’t thank you enough for that. It is your support and feedback that makes Sci-Fi Jubilee and blogging so enjoyable and special to me. This blog has grown so much in the last ten years, its given me amazing opportunities, allowed me to write on other websites and projects, and that’s all thanks to you! So cheers for all your awesome support everyone, I couldn’t have done any of it without you, and here’s to many more fun years of reviews on Sci-Fi Jubilee!

Sci-Fi Jubilee My YouTube Channel The Last of Us Part 2
I’ve been playing The Last of Us Part 2 on PS4, the eagerly awaited sequel to critically acclaimed PS3 game The Last of Us (2013) from Naughty Dog. The Last of Us Part 2 is set five years after the original games story which features dangerous journey across a post-pandemic United States overrun by terrifying mutations, Ellie and Joel have now settled down in Jackson, Wyoming.
Ellie and Dina Run For Their Lives From A Horde of Infected!
Living with this thriving group of survivorshas brought a time of peace and stability into their lives, despite the ever presentthreat of the infected mutations and dangerous groups of other survivors. However, following a violent incident, Ellie sets out on a dangerous journey to carry out justice and find sone sense of closure. But as she hunts down those responsible she must confront the untold horrors of this ravaged world and the terrible physical and emotional consequences of her actions.
Driving like crazy to escape a horde of infected
I’ve been really looking forward to The Last of Us Part 2,the original game was fantastic, and I’m glad to say that the sequel is just as good. It combines survival horror elements, stealth, and great combat with a powerful storyline full of tension, action and emotion so I thought it would be a great game to feature in some videos on my YouTube Channel. It does still feels a bit strange playing yet another game about a pandemic while we are still coping with a real worldwide pandemic like COVID 19 right now, but I’ve still enjoyed having a new game to play nevertheless.
I’ll post more gameplay videos on my YouTube Channel as I play through The Last of Us Part 2. Please feel free to like and subscribe if you enjoy the videos, and I’d also like to say a huge thank you for all your support of Sci-Fi Jubilee and my YouTube Channel. Cheers everyone, take care, and stay safe out there.

Well, first I’d just like to say a big thank you to everyone for supporting me and Sci-Fi Jubilee in 2019 while I’ve been off recovering from my recent operation. Its been a long, tough few months, but I’m well on the mend now.
At times its was a bit frustrating not being well enough to focus on my blog or YouTube Channel, but I had to follow Doctor’s orders and rest. Sadly I did miss several of the comic books I was looking forward to reading, and there were films like Joker and Terminator Dark Fate that I never got around to seeing. On the plus side I had plenty of time to relax and enjoy lots of my favourite classic TV shows, especially Doctor Who and Star Trek, and lots of classic movies, Sci-Fi and Horror, that I haven’t watched in ages either.
Now it’s time to look forward to the end of the year and everything that 2020 has to offer! First off there’s Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker, so will be sure to see that over the holidays. Doctor Who returns on New Year’s Day as Series 12 begins. I’m glad to see the Cybermen return as well as they are my favourite Doctor Who monster. Also excited for The Witcher, Lost In Space Season 2, and Star Trek Picard! There’s lots of movies I’m looking forward to in 2020, including Black Widow, No Time To Die, and Wonder Woman 1984, to name just a few, and I’m sure there’ll be plenty of comic books to enjoy as well.
Most of all though I’d like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you for all the get well messages you’ve sent me here on Sci-Fi Jubilee and on Twitter. I was totally bowled over by your kind words and good wishes while I was recovering, you helped me keep my spirits up through the tough times after my surgery, and for that I truly cannot thank you all enough.
So, here’s to a very merry Christmas and happy holidays to you all as the festive season approaches, and I look forward to an exciting New Year in 2020 with Sci-Fi Jubilee!
Hi everyone! Sorry been a lack of posts recently. I’ve been in hospital for an operation for a longstanding condition that’s been giving me a bit of trouble for a while now. As I have a somewhat weaker lung function as well (you may recall I spent time in hospital last November because of a bad chest infection), I was also advised to have a spinal for my operation as it would be safer for me than a general anaesthetic.
It was a bit of a scary experience being awake while I was being operated on, but the staff were all really nice and looked after me. Its been just over a week since my operation. I’m home now and recovering well. Obviously I’m going to have to take things easy for a bit. So that’ll mean lots of binge watching box sets and movies for me while I recover – just what the doctor ordered!
Sci-Fi Jubilee My YoouTube Channel Resident Evil 2 Remake
Hello everyone, and thanks for checking out my YouTube Channel! The first big game of 2019 is here! Yes, the Resident Evil 2 remake has been released, and I thought it’d be the perfect game to stream some gameplay footage for you over on my YouTube Channel. The original Resi Evil 2 was released in 1998, it capitalized on the success of the series’ first game, and quickly became a mega hit! Its arguably one of the best survival horror games ever, so I’ve been really looking forward to this new version of the game, and I’m pleased to say I’ve found the new Resident Evil 2 remake to be every bit as scary and as fun to play as well!
Check out the start of the Resident Evil 2 remake!
Right from the outset the Resident Evil 2 remake gives you all the nostalgic chills of the original game. Essentially the same in many ways, yet updated with gorgeously detailed modern graphics, and new slants on classic moments from the original Resident Evil 2.
So far I’ve played the opening, starting at a creepy gas station, before reaching the Raccoon City Police Dept, where I’ve encountered hordes of zombies, the fearsome Lickers, a grotesquely mutated William Birkin, and the relentless Tyrant! I’ve had a blast playing the game so far, so I look forward completing the rest of it, and then doing the next play though as Claire.
I’ll be streaming some more glameplay videos as I work my way through Resident Evil 2, so please feel free to like and subscribe if you enjoy them, and I’d like thank you all so much for your continued support of Sci-Fi Jubilee and my YouTube Channel. Cheers everyone
Sci-Fi Jubilee My YouTube Channel Red Dead Redemption 2
Hi everyone and thank you for checking out my YouTube Channel! I’ve started Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games eagerly awaited prequel to 2010’s superb Red Dead Redemption while I’ve been resting and taking things easy after being in hospital recently. So, seeing how I’ve not done many new videos for bit, I thought this would be the perfect game for me to stream some new gameplay footage for you on my YouTube Channel.
Check out some my early Red Dead Redemption 2 adventures!
In this video I went exploring and did some side quests, and just gawped at the beautiful scenery!
This mission, A Quiet Time, was a drunken night out in the town of Valentine, and great fun!
Blessed Are The Meek was my favourite mission so far, as you go an break a fellow gunslinger out of jail in a neighbouring town. This was a really fun and action packed mission to play!
I’ve not been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 for that long, but I’ve been totally blown away by the storyline and how impressive the game looks. There’s loads to see and do in this game, so much so that it felt a little overwhelming at first, but after a few hours I was soon settling into the flow of the story and getting to grips with the gameplay mechanics. No doubt I’ve only just scratched the surface of what this game has to offer, but I’m glad to say that Red Dead Redemption has certainly been well worth the wait to play!
I’d also just like to take this opportunity to say a really big thank you for supporting my blog Sci-Fi Jubilee and my YouTube Channel – especially when I was off sick and couldn’t. blog or stream games recently. My YouTube Channel has always been such a fun and interactive part of Sci-Fi Jubilee, and that’s all down to you! So thank you all very much for liking and subscribing and be sure to look out for more Red Dead Redemption 2 videos and live streams – along with some of the other games that I’ve been playing as well – over on my YouTube Channel in the weeks to come while I recuperate. Cheers everyone!
Hi everyone! Sorry not been here for a little while. I fell ill with another nasty chest infection and got rushed into hospital two weeks ago. Fortunately after a course of IV antibiotics I’m home now and well on the mend. I’ll be back writing, reviewing and posting videos over on my YouTube Channel again once I’ve recovered a bit more. For now though I’m looking forward to catching up with some of the TV shows that I missed while I was in hospital, namely The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow, as well as finishing my binge watch of the brilliant Daredevil season 3, and finally getting the chance to enjoy playing some of Red Dead Redemption 2 while I take things easy for a bit.
Sci-Fi Jubilee My YouTube Channel Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4
Hello everyone and thanks for checking out my YouTube Channel! After a break to enjoy the summer, I’ve started playing Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4 by Insomniac Games. I’ve been really looking forward to the release of this new Spider-Man game, and I thought it’d be a great game for me to stream gameplay footage for you on my YouTube Channel.
Spider-Man PS4 introduces us to Peter Parker after he’s been fighting crime in for some time. In the game Peter must find a way to balance his personal life, his day job, and his crime fighting career as Spider-Man. Now a deadly new menace is about to threaten New York City, and soon Spider-Man will face his greatest challenge!
Check out the awesome start to Marvel’s Spider-Man PS4!
I can’t begin to tell you how much fun I’ve been having playing Spider-Man PS4! Insomniac Games have done an outstanding job with this game. The main storyline is an action packed adventure that deftly balances the excitement of fighting crime as Spider-Man with Peter’s life and career. The combat is acrobatic and relatively easy to master, there’s a wealth of side quests to complete, and the graphics are stunning. The web-swinging across the NYC skyline is gloriously realized as well. There’s also a brilliant photo mode; handy when you are exploring the sights – first chance I got I climbed to the top of Avengers Tower to enjoy the view!
I’d also just like to take this chance to say a big thank you for supporting my blog Sci-Fi Jubilee and my YouTube Channel – especially as I haven‘t always had quite as much free time to blog or stream games recently. My YouTube Channel is such a fun and interactive part of Sci-Fi Jubilee, and that’s all thanks to you! So cheers for liking and subscribing and be sure to look out for more Spider-Man PS4 videos and live streams on my YouTube Channel!
I’m very happy to say my blog Sci-Fi Jubilee has now reached its 6th anniversary! Wow, this last year seems to have flown by so fast as well! Needless to say I’ve have had a brilliant time writing this blog over the last six years, writing countless TV, film, and comic book reviews and articles from a wealth of different genres – especially when it comes to Doctor Who and Comic Books – which I real love writing about!
But of course, Sci-Fi Jubilee wouldn’t by anything without any of you! I always look at these anniversary posts as a way to say a big thank you to each and every one of you for reading and following my blog. You have always been so kind and generous, especially when I fell ill with a chest infection earlier this year, and you have constantly given me so much amazing support via your comments on my blog, nominating Sci-Fi Jubilee for blog awards, and sharing my reviews on Twitter, WordPress, and Sci-Fi Jubilee’s Facebook page.
Thanks to you my YouTube Channel is now a key feature on the blog as well.
