Of all the new MCU movies in the pipeline Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the one I’ve been looking forward to the most – especially as it has Sam Rami at the helm! This trailer was chock full of surprises as well as showcasing some of the incredible visual we can expect to see in this sequel.

This trailer was definitely a blast with so many easter eggs there. So it seems like we’ve got Prof X., Loki, a possible Captain Marvel variant, and maybe even Superior Iron-Man in here. I’m guessing if they’re going the Illuminati route then we’ll also be seeing some kind of Mr. Fantastic and Black Panther. Yeah this is going to be a really top notch film.
I’m not buying into Scarlet Witch trying to say that her and Strange’s mistakes are the same though. He definitely took a big risk in messing with the multiverse but there were no malevolent intentions while she did take a whole town hostage. A bit different I would think but if she is turning into the villain here then I guess that may be her rationale.
With rumors for even more guest stars flying around I’m definitely expecting a lot of other familiar faces to appear from the good ole days. Seeing Wolverine and Ghost Rider would be top notch!
I thought this trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was brilliant. It certainly overfed up some surprises and unexpected characters. I agree with you about the Scarlet Witch as well. I’m sure there’s going to be lots more speculation about what other guest stars might appear as well – I’d love to see Wolverine and Ghost Rider as well. Still a way to go as yet but I’m sure more will be revealed in the build up to the films release.
It appears they’re leaning hard into the whole multi-verse thing. I have a bad vibe about it myself…
The multiverse seems to be all the rage mow for comic book movies. There’s always a rush that big crossover things like this can get become a muddled mess, but I’m confident that Sam Rami will be able to keep things on track with this Dr Strange sequel.
This trailer makes the movie look chaotic and fun. This is also the first time I learned that Sam Raimi is directing it. It’s the first Superhero movie he’s directed since Spider-Man 3. That movie was a mess, sure, but the first two were good enough that it’s long past time he gets another chance.
I really liked the look of this trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, it had so many unexpected surprises and appearances in it. I really liked the Sam Rami Spider-Man films, even though the 3rd films a bit of a jumble of good ideas that never went anywhere. I’m glad Rami has returned to the genre of comic book movies to make this sequel – especially with his horror roots as this Dr Strange film certainly seems like it will be a dark, trippy, action packed adventure.
The trailer certainly had the Raimi touch which needs to be shown more often. The second Doctor Strange film is one of my most anticipated films for this year and the latest trailer just cements my excitement with all the wild visuals.
For sure, been so hyped for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness ever since Rami was announced as director. I just know we are in for something really special with this one. I have a feeling this one could even eclipse Spider-Man No Way Home in the crossover / event stakes!
Awesome I can’t wait until May! A day out with my grandson.
Yeah, I can’t wait to see Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness as well, it looks brilliant!
Great write up, Paul. Really looking forward to this. Do you think I need to have seen all prior Marvel releases to understand the narrative of Dr Strange 2? I’m up to Black Widow for films and Wandavision on Disney TV.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the review. Given the nature of a multi-verse movie having seen some of the previous MCU films will probably help – especially the more recent film & Wanda Vision. I can’t wait to see Dr Strange in the Multi verse of Madness as well. Sam Rami is such a brilliant director.
I love Sam Raimi. I’ve seen all the films and shows up to the recent ones. SO much content. Thanks for responding.
Really excited to see where things will go with this one. It has everything it needs to set the foundation for future MCU movies and I hope they’ll make good use of it to tie in pre-MCU movies and introduce new reboots/characters.
P.S. I also wanted to make a quick mention that I will be moving on to my own blog going forward (temporarily cross-posting content to warn readers on Bookidote) and that I’d love for us to remain connected over on my new blog (roarsandechoes.com). Don’t feel obligated to do so though! Stay safe!
Yeah, I’m really excited for all the possibilities that Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will bring, not only for the character, but also the MCU as a whole. Thank you for letting me know about your new blog. Post me a link here in the commons and I’ll be sure to follow it as well.
Thank you so much for the support, Paul! Look forward to maintaining our connection going forward. The link is: roarsandechoes.com
Awesome post. The trailer looks really good. The first Doctor Strange film was one of my favorites of all the single-hero Marvel movies that have been produced. The special effects were tremendous. Seeing Dr. Strange and Scarlett Witch together has my attention, especially knowing the insane powers they both possess. I’m looking forward to this.
I’m really looking forward to Dr Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The first Dr Strange movie was brilliant so I’ve high hopes for this sequel – especially with Sam Rami directing. Going to be cool to see Dr Strange and the Scarlet Witch feature in the same movie as well, especially now we know how powerful they both are. Cheers for commenting!
Incredible visuals is right! Just when you think special effects can’t be done any better, they somehow manage to outdo themselves.
I though this was a great trailer. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Maddness is sure to be an amazing looking movie. I love the concept of the Multiverse, it will being so much to the MCU.
