Sci-Fi Jubilee My YouTube Channel Ghost of Tsushima
I’ve started playing Ghost of Tsushima on PS4, the new open world adventure game from Sucker Punch, where you play as lone samurai warrior, and I thought it would be a great game to feature on my YouTube Channel.
Ghost of Tsushima is set in the year 1274, where samurai warriors are the legendary defenders of Japan, that is until the mighty Mongol Empire invades the island of Tsushima to wreak havoc. As one of the last surviving samurai you must rise from the ashes and fight back. But this time the honourable ways of the samurai won’t ensure victory against the ruthless Mongol aggressors. Samurai traditions must be given over to a new way of fighting – the way of the Ghost – as you set out to wage the most unconventional war imaginable for the freedom of Japan.
I’ve been really looking forward to Ghost of Tsushima and I’m pleased to say the game more than lives up to all the hype. It’s a vast, gorgeously detailed, open world adventure. The storyline had me hooked right from the start, combat is excitingly paced, and the game world looks absolutely stunning.
This video features the start of Ghost of Tsushima and opening battle that sets the stage for the rest of the adventure. Clearly this game is going to be a veritable sandbox of things to do and discover. There are loads of missions, side-quests, and beautiful locations to discover in the game that all help hone your skills.. I’ve had a great time playing Ghost of Tsushima so far, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of this game has to offer.
Here in this video I had to defeat the Warlord Dogar!I really like these battles, each showdowns is integral to the overall story,I love the stylish atmosphere, and the combat is really exciting!
For the Blood on the Grass mission, Jin Sakai teams up with an old friend against the Mongol invaders, and gains the Ronin attire!
Lockdown because of the Corononavirus pandemic has been worrying and difficult time here in the UK. I’ve been ok because as a writer I can do everything from home anyway, its also been great to have more time with my family, and goodness knows how many box sets I’ve binged through over the last few weeks. Now with restrictions lifting slightly there is light at the end of the tunnel as we slowly emerge from lockdown and hopefully life will begin to return to something a little closer to normal for us all worldwide soon.
I will post some more gameplay videos from Ghost of Tsushima over on my YouTube Channel as I make my way through the game, I might do some livestreams as well maybe, so please feel free to like and subscribe if you enjoy, and I’d like to say a big thank you for all of your continued support for Sci-Fi Jubilee and my YouTube Channel. Thank’s everyone, take care, and stay safe.

This game looks amazing! My son showed it to me a few days ago and now with you playing it, well I’m just going to get it.
Its a brilliant game Tim, the storyline, missions, and side quests are so well structured. The open world is vast, there’s so much to do, the combat is exciting, and the graphics are stunning. I’d certainly recommend this game to you Tim, I’ve been having a great time playing Ghost of Tsushima. 🙂
I’ve been watching streams of this and it looks sensational 🙂 The story, the characters, the world, the visuals! All of it gels together so well. It seems to be a very well realised game.
I’ve been enjoying playing Ghost of Tsushima so much. Everything from the story, the missions, and the vast open world to explore is so good. It all looks incredible too, the scenery in the game is stunning, and the combat is really exciting. 🙂
The visuals are indeed awesome! I like the scenes that place the characters in a gorgeous, almost heavenly natural setting–leaves fluttering down around them, etc. Very Japanese. Good to hear the lockdown is slowly lifting in the UK!
The game world and graphics all look fantastic. Ghost of Tsushima is such a good game. I often find myself just gazing around at the scenery as its so beautiful. Yes, lockdown is easing a bit now in the UK, we’re getting there gradually.
This looks amazing. I will play it.
Ghost of Tsushima is a brilliant game, I’ve been really enjoying it! 🙂
This looks amazing ! Visuals are great of this one.
Ghost of Tsushima is such a visually impressive game, the scenery is beautiful. Enjoying this game so much.
I’ve heard nothing but good things about this game. Your gameplay is actually the first I’ve seen of it though, and it looks really good.
Been enjoying playing Ghost of Tsushima so much. It’s a brilliant game and the vast open game world looks amazing. Certainly a game I’d recommend. 🙂
I’ve just picked this up having finished The Last of Us Part II (just brilliant, I don’t care what the haters say – did you finish it) and a playthrough of The Last of Us Remastered.
Alas, I haven’t had a chance to start playing Ghost of Tsushima just yet but will get to it soon (as I watch some classic Samurai films for good measure!)…asap really as the release of Avengers is only a few weeks off…yikes!
That’s great! I’ve been having a brilliant time playing Ghost of Tsushima, the story is superb, and the whole game looks stunning! Sure you’ll enjoy it, especially if – like me – you like a good Samurai film. Yes, I did finish The Last of Of Part 2, thought it was really good as well. A really tense and emotional game on every level. I’m looking forward to the Avengers game as well, that should be lots of fun too! 🙂
Been digging into Ghost of Tsushima over the last week or so, really loving it. I was worried at first because I didn’t seem to be very good at it but soon started getting the hang of the combat.
Glad you enjoyed TLOU2, I was emotionally wrecked by the end but that’s in no way a negative, it was so impactful.
I’ve lowered my expectations for Avengers a little as the previews coming out seem to be a bit mixed, I’ll probably skip the Beta this weekend though and just wait for the full release.
I’m totally hooked on Ghost of Tsushima. I love how the story evolves as you play and how well the side-missions link into everything. It took me a bit of time to master everything as there’s lots to learn and do, but the game makes it a joy to learn all the techniques. Yeah, TLOU2 was a superb game too, had a blast playing that. I have been playing the Avengers Beta this weekend. Its ok, the first level felt a bit clunky, and the gameplay was a bit repetitive, but just did a boss fight Hulk vs Abomination today and that was pretty good. Betas can be a bit tough to judge a game, as the finished result will probably differ, but I’m still looking forward to playing the full game when its released. 🙂
Uh oh, that doesn’t sound good…there’s only a few weeks to go until it ships so doubt they’ll be able to make any major improvements. To be honest, I get the impression there are some fundamental issues built into the game that at this point simply can’t be changed (like I heard the missions are a bit generic so as to cater for all the characters, rather than tailing missions to specific characters).
Ah well, so long as it’s fun and has a good single player story…and there’s always Cyperpunk 2077 to look forward to in November!
Yes, the Beta has turned out to be a bit of a mixed bag. I’ve finished it and it was ok, but there are a few issues with it. I found the controls a little clunky, the missions I did all felt a bit similar in the way they played out, and combat sometimes felt repetitive. Hopefully they will have a chance to iron things out for the release of the game. I think Avengers will turn out to be rather generic, if fun experience, but without a big wow factor to really make it stand out from the crowd. I thought the best bits were when you play as the Hulk, those were my favourite. Until then Ghost of Tsushima will keep us busy and Cyberpunk 2077 isn’t far away – so long as they don’t move it again LOL! 🙂
