Looks interesting. Still trying to fully understand the ending to Walberg’s version lol

Yeah, I’ve enjoyed all the new Planet of the Apes films so far, so I’m sure I’ll like War for the Planet of the Apes as well. Looks good! I never figured out what Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes films was meant to be about either, I usually love Burton’s films, but I’m afraid that one was a total miss-fire LOL

Holy Crap, this looks awesome. I have to admit I was never a fan of the original Planet of the Apes movies or TV show. My cousins loved it but they were a little older than me and they had all the mego toys and even a little metal trash can (remember when that was a thing). But I’ve loved all of the new movies, this is one of the rare cases when the reboot is better than the source in my opion.

Well, I like the original Planet of the Apes film, that was good. Never seen the TV series though. Did they keep any of those Mego toys figures? They’d be worth a bit now! I’ve enjoyed the new Planet of the Apes films as well, they’ve been great, and I’m sure that War For the Planet of the Apes will be just as exciting. Indeed, one of the rare occasions where the reboot can match and even exceed the originals!

Maybe I should give the original another shot. Been decades since I last tried to watch. LOL, no they don’t have the collectors mentality like us dorks have.
Paul Bowler said:
I would, the original film is very good. Well worth another look 🙂

I liked the original movie and also loved the new movies, especially the previous one which was too good. Excited for this new one.

Woody Harrelson is in it? Was he in any previous ones? I’ve liked him starting from his Cheers days.
Paul Bowler said:
Yes, he’s in this film, but not in the previous movies.
Bookstooge said:
Bummer. Thanks for letting me know.
Paul Bowler said:
You’re welcome. Will be good to see him in this film though.

That is a great movie poster. And I’m excited to see Woody Harrelson in this.
I am a sucker for all Planet of the Apes movies, both the originals and the reboots. I can’t help it.
Paul Bowler said:
I think its an awesome poster as well, really sets the tone of the movie. Great that Woddy Harrelson is in this film too. I’ve always enjoyed the Planet of the Apes films as well, I love the original, not so mad about the Tim Burton film, but I really like the Reboot Planet of the Apes film. They’ve been great, excited to see what happens in War For the Planet of the Apes!

This has been one of the best recent hard sci-fi film franchises, and I’ve loved Dawn and Rise. I looked forward to War since the end of the last film. Wonder how crazy they’ll take this, like will we see mutated humans someday such as in Beneath the Planet of the Apes???
Paul Bowler said:
I completely agree, Dawn and Rise of the Planet of the Apes have been brilliant films and rebooted the saga for a whole new generation of fans too! War For the Planet of the Apes looks like it will be just as good. Would be great if they did a version of Beneath the Planet of the Apes afterwards!
the Well-Red Mage said:
I want them to get so far in this franchise that they have the Icarus astronauts who took off for space in Dawn land on the earth again after all this went down!
Paul Bowler said:
Oh yeah, that would be so awesome! I’m sure there will be something exciting in store with this new film 🙂
Starloggers said:
I wonder if this film will provide a link to the original Apes films or go off in a new direction. Either way, I cannot wait to see it.
Paul Bowler said:
I’ve been wondering that as well. I love the original Apes films, so it would be awesome if they did, especially if they did something like Beneath The Planet of the Apes next. Can’t wait to see War For the Planet of the Apes as well 🙂
Chris Evans said:
Been waiting for this to be released, as a huge fan of the Apes franchise it got me rather excited. ‘Dawn’ was great so fingers crossed this is at least as good.
Paul Bowler said:
I’ve been eagerly waiting War For The Planet of the Apes as well, I’m sure it will live up to the other films in the reboot saga, Dawn and Rise, so I’ve sure this will be as good. Cheers for commenting 🙂

Doesn’t look good for the humans!
Paul Bowler said:
Yes, it looks like they will have their work cut out to survive!

This is probably my most anticipated movie of next year. Can’t wait!

I’ve really enjoyed the rebooted Planet of the Apes film, so excited for War For the Planet of the Apes as well 🙂

Sorry, the comment I posted some minutes ago was meant for “Planet of the Apes”. I guess I was too fast & hit the wrong “comment” button ;/

HI ya! That’s ok, just noticed it. Not to worry. Yes, I agree, the poster for this film is great. I think the new reboot Planet of the Apes movies have been very good, in keeping with the original films, and I’m certainly looking forward to War For The Planet of the Apes even more now as well 🙂

I still haven’t seen any of the films in this particular run yet, but the trailer played before Star Wars. It looks pretty intense to be sure and it’s hard to know who to root for. I may be on Team Apes this time though since the humans seem to be in the wrong.
Paul Bowler said:
I’ve enjoyed the rebooted Planet of the Apes films, this one looks just as good. They are certainly well worth checking out 🙂
dreager1 said:
Absolutely, I’ll marathon them at some point. I’ve seen most of the classic ones so I just plan on watching the final reboot before this prequel series first.
Paul Bowler said:
Yeah, it’d be a good idea to see the other films first before War For the Planet of the Apes. You’ve got plenty of time to catch up 🙂
